Purpose: Repair, Overhaul, Maintenance, Service of Heavy Equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets.
  manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.
• Write service reports.

Skills/Abilities:

• Strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in
  cramped or awkward positions.
• Good vision, hearing and sense of smell for diagnosing problems.
• Mechanical ability and an interest in machinery and engines.
• The ability to think logically and keep up with changes in technology.
• Ability to work alone or as a team.

Experience: Minimum four years’ experience required.

Tickets: Must have a Journeyman red seal certificate as Heavy Duty Mechanic.

Other: Valid driver's licence, willing to travel, remote locations.
